Some 2003, 04, and a few 05's apparantly had problems with their chrome-alloy rings flaking. That could contribute to low compression readings. Thumbdoctor says that one other test for that is having the sled stall out completely when you hit the reverse (RER) button. Now is the time to find out where you stand.
